Nvidia’s Growing AI Presence in India

Nvidia is working closely with Indian companies to grow AI technology in the country. At the Mumbai AI Summit, Nvidia’s CEO, Jensen Huang, shared plans to team up with Reliance, a major Indian company, to build a strong AI foundation for India. Tech Mahindra is also joining in, using Nvidia’s chips and software to create “Indus 2.0,” a special AI model designed for Hindi speakers.

Tata Communications and Yotta Data Services plan to buy thousands of Nvidia’s H100 chips by the end of the year. Local tech companies, like Infosys and Wipro, are also using Nvidia’s software to create custom AI tools for their clients.

Other major companies, like Tata Communications and Yotta Data Services, plan to buy tens of thousands of Nvidia H100 chips before the year ends. India’s tech industry is already diving deep into AI, with Infosys and Wipro using Nvidia tools to customize AI applications for clients. Wipro alone has trained 225,000 of its employees on Nvidia’s platform, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has trained around 50,000 AI experts. Nvidia is also partnering with Flipkart and Zoho to help build large language models in Indian languages, making local services more accessible.

With half a million developers in Nvidia’s program and numerous startups like CoRover.ai using Nvidia’s tech, India is positioned to shift from a software exporter to a global AI hub. Nvidia’s strategic push into India also signals its increasing competition with other tech giants like AMD and Intel.

U.S. Power Equipment Boom

The U.S. is investing more in power equipment as interest rates drop, making borrowing cheaper. This increase in funding is driving demand for new grid projects and equipment upgrades. Many companies are updating old grids and launching new energy projects. However, supply chain issues like labor and material shortages are slowing equipment deliveries and raising costs. This creates a chance for international suppliers, especially from China, to enter North American markets.
